Reporting to the Depot Manager, the Service Engineer , will take responsibility for supporting and servicing all products and clients for NOV’s Portable Powers business within the UK market. Your existing knowledge within electrical and mechanical servicing of diesel driven generators and ancillary equipment will be critical to your success in this role. As Service Engineer you will liaise with internal stakeholders of our Great Yarmouth site and manage your daily, weekly and monthly schedule in an efficient manner in order to maintain strong customer relations with the support we offer. Key to this role will be your ability to drive continual improvement processes, enhancing efficiency and performance within our market and delivering technically competent installations, commissioning, servicing and maintenance support to our customers. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Liaise with NOV project teams and management, Client and Vendors relating to their allocated installation, commissioning, servicing and maintenance activities

Prepare, review and approve work packs required for the above related activities

Co-ordinate on-site sub contract labour as required for above activities

Undertake installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up operations of rental/sale packages in line with NOV procedures, including but not limited to:

P&ID walk downs

Mechanical/electrical completion checks

Factory acceptance tests

Function/loop checks

Instrument checks

Site acceptance tests

Train operators and client personnel in use of equipment in line with NOV operation and maintenance manuals

Maintain contact with operational personnel to build long-term relationship/database of customer feedback

Under management direction, provide after sales services including inspections, spares, advice/recommendations, liaising with engineering departments as necessary.

Ensure personal compliance with all HSE legislation and HSE Company policy

Be fully familiar and fully conversant with department and company policies, procedures and processes, ensuring all work and actions undertaken are in full compliance at all times

Provide HSEQ leadership ensuring personal compliance with legislation and Company policies

Daily travel to customer offshore/onshore sites when required. On shore call out as and when required.

Qualifications:

ONC/HNC /HND in Engineering City & Guilds 2391 17th edition /2382 Inspection and Test

Tertiary education in an Engineering and or Business discipline

Experience:

Electrical/Mechanical knowledge within installation, commissioning, servicing and maintenance environments Ability to create and track individual and team metrics Interpretation of engineering drawings

Skills, training or special knowledge

Computer literacy (including good command of Microsoft Office; Excel, Word, Outlook) Knowledge of industry standards Diesel driven generators
