Description

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Tasks

This position is responsible for maintaining repairing the plant facility equipment and providing support for production operations. Primary responsibility is fabrication and installation modification of plant equipment. As a member of the Maintenance Department, team member is expected to provide timely, position response support as needed to production operations and maybe required to assist in other areas of the maintenance department. Must be able to read and understand manuals, must have basic math skills, proven fabrication skills experience, execute and document work completed and have strong written and oral communications skills. Must be able to bend, climb, twist, lift and able to work in all environments of our processing facility. Applicant will abide by GMP and SSOP, maintain 98% attendance, adhere to all safety policies and perform other duties as necessary and as assigned by department lead and or supervisor. Normal work schedule will be on first shift, Thursday-Monday. The actual work hours schedule will be determined. Shift hours may be adjusted based on plant equipment needs. Holiday work may be required.

Requirements

Must have successfully completed technical training through level 8 or exhibit equivalent knowledge skills and have working knowledge of or exhibit the ability to achieve such in fabrication.
