You will serve as a SUPERVISORY INTERDISCIPLINARY FIRE PROTECTION ENGINEER/ARCHITECT/CIVIL ENGINEER/MECHANICAL ENGINEER/ELECTRICAL ENGINEER in the CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS BUSINESS LINE (CIBL) of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC.
You will function as a supervisory interdisciplinary engineer or architect in the field of Project Management, serving as the Senior Project Manager and primary point of contact for coordination of all assigned Capital Improvements Business Line (CIBL) projects under the cognizance of the branch.
This is an Interdisciplinary position which may be filled by any of the following series: Fire Protection Engineer (0804), Architect (0808), Civil Engineer (0810), Mechanical Engineer (0830), Electrical Engineer (0850).

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Identifying the need for a modification to scope, cost, and/or schedule based on collaboration with the contractor, Supported Command, designer, and/or other entities; 2) Ensuring communication between the project manager, contract specialist, the contractor, the project technical team, the client, and others as appropriate for design-build projects; 3) Planning work to be accomplished by subordinates, setting priorities, and preparing schedules for completion of work; 4) Reviewing and evaluating work methods, processes, work assignments, and staffing to ensure actions will reduce costs, increase productivity, and meet mission requirements; and 5) Providing mentoring to assigned staff and junior engineers on architectural and engineering matters. This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) and requires additional training, experience and possibly education.
