-- Performs moderately complex and varied tasks -- May have specialized external certification -- Guides junior team members -- Has developed proficiency in a range of processes or procedures through job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience -- Completes a variety of atypical assignments -- Works within defined processes and procedures or methodologies and may help determine the appropriate approach for new assignments -- Works with a limited degree of supervision -- Acts as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience

This position is responsible for repairing, diagnosing/troubleshooting, and general maintenance of facility utilities, aseptic and packaging manufacturing systems through the application of generally accepted maintenance trade skills (e.g., mechanical, electrical, etc.)

Qualifications

Education Required:

High school / GED education or equivalent experience.

Education Preferred:

A.A. or A.S. degree or vocational courses in areas such as welding, mechanics, electrical, control systems, etc.

Experience Required:

Minimum of 1 year in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment as a mechanic or technician.

Minimum of 3 years in a high volume manufacturing environment as a mechanic or technician.

Knowledge of cGMPs, change control processes, FDA-regulated industry documentation practices, electronic database packages (e.g., CMMS/AMMS, Blue Mountain, etc.), inventory systems.

Experience Preferred:

3 years experience within biopharmaceutical manufacturing or maintenance.

Specialized or Technical Knowledge Licenses, Certifications needed:

Computer skills- Windows XP, Excel, Word.
