Business Title: Product Release Technician II
Main Purpose of the Role
The Real-Time Operations (RTO) team assists Product Life Cycle Management (PLM) leads and Submission Planners with the management of submission activities to EA Cert and First Party, ensuring compliance with the relevant requirements. The Real-Time Operations team operates 24/5 round the clock Monday through Friday in three different shifts. Based on requirement team may also work on weekends to support the business operations.
The role partners with EA certification groups as part of the submission process, and also work with core internal teams (PLM, studio/QA, digital sales/marketing), to ensure product submission to the first party and meet the release deadlines.
The Product Release Technician II (PRT II) is a part of Real Time Operations a high-performing team that can provide cross-functional and cross-regional support to deliver coverage across various time-zones. PRT II get trained to become experts across platforms to provide support for all EA products. The role works closely with the Release Planners across the console, mobile-specific verticals, and digital publishing teams, supporting in different time-zones to ensure coverage for all projects.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for build uploads to major First Party console & mobile platforms such as Sony, Microsoft, Google Play, iTunes, Amazon & Windows.
Responsible for creating and registering micro transaction items (MTX) on supported game stores, also performing price change of various MTX items.
Submission of metadata/marketing material of products to the supported platforms
Update leaderboards and achievements across the products on mobile platforms
Review of content for iTunes submissions.
Refund/cancel test account purchases as and when requested from game teams
Ability to manually pull game builds from EA internal tools and publish them to supported game stores.
Liaise with PLM submission planners across console, mobile & digital publishing teams to hand-off time critical projects and build the expertise level
Support/Assist PRT I and provide training sessions as and when needed
Compile and send end of the day’s shift report during the absence of shift lead/Sr. PRT
Adherence to SLA & quality within cross-platform submission processes.
The Product Lifecycle Management department is a dynamic part of the business where there are peak periods of activity, therefore, it is necessary that the incumbent has a flexible approach to weekends as and when needed.
Flexible to work timings to cover 24/5 requirement
Skills and Knowledge Required
Preferable experience in coordination of delivery of multiple, simultaneous projects with tight deadlines.
Proven skills in MS Office products and an ability to quickly grasp other computer applications
Co-operate, collaborate and work towards a common goal in conjunction with other stakeholders.
Identify, focus and implement changes needed and increase the sense of urgency
Communicate in a clear and concise manner both written and verbal. Excellent spoken English is required for the role.
Should be an independent and smart worker who can manage time and resources in the most effective way and be a good team player.
- 2 – 3 years of Project coordination or multiple projects at once.
Knowledge of the technical requirements of mobile/console platforms and associated tools
Strong communication skills
Passion for video games would be an added advantage.
Proven ability to work effectively in a team and assist internal and external stakeholders.
Experience handing off tasks to other team members and picking up already started tasks to drive them to completion as a team.
Proven ability to coordinate projects to schedule.
