Mechanical Engineer

Key Role:

Prepare design specifications, analyses, and recommendations for presentation and approval. Maintain technical responsibility for planning, organizing, and conducting technical projects or phases of projects involving design and development of new or improved products and processes. Provide engineering design oversight for mechanical engineering-related tasks for an Army vehicle acquisition program, including vehicle suspension, handling, and dynamics. Review proposed Engineering Change Proposals (ECP), Requests for Deviation (RFD), Technical Data Package submissions, and drawings provided by the manufacturer. Review Component First Article Test (CFAT) plans and reports. Support production and quality team’s vehicle fabrication, assembly, finishing, test, PPAP, and CFAT. Support test activities, work to bring issues to final resolution, and prioritize and multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Basic Qualifications:

-5 years of experience in an engineering role

-Experience with using a Computer Aided Design (CAD) software suite

-Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

Advanced Qualifications:

-Experience with vehicle suspension, handling, or dynamics expertise preferred

-Experience with Army Acquisition Programs for ground vehicles preferred

-BA or BS degree in ME or a related engineering field

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
