Position is responsible for preparation and paint related work in the facility. Candidate will provide estimates of materials required, time for job, perform patch, paint, wall coverings and sheetrock removal, repair and installation, cove base removal and installation, corner guard, acrovyn repair, install and replacement. The position will be required to manage small projects related to this discipline, including required documentation, etc. Candidate will be required to establish schedules for work, follow-up with customers and assist Co-ordinator with budget preparations, costing of projects, some oversight for subordinates in this discipline. Candidate will be required to perform other functions related to the general activities in Facilities Engineering.
Required Minimum Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Required Minimum Experience: Two (2) years experience as a painter, health care experience is desired. 5 years experience preferred.
Required Minimum Skills: Candidate will have verifiable skill as a trim and base painter. Candidate will have an understanding of paints required for various applications both interior and exterior. Candicate must have knowledge of equipment required for paint preparation and application, knowledge of methods of equipment maintenance in this discipline and an understanding of OSHA MSDS requirements for this discipline. Candidate must have a general knowledge of use of hand and power tools related to general facility engineering maintenance, upkeep and repair.
